Andy Broderick, president of Housing Vermont for the past eight years, will be leaving on February 1, 2009 to join a start-up company which helps nonprofits in metropolitan areas secure office and program space. The Housing Vermont Board of Directors has appointed Nancy Owens, who currently serves as the Vice President of Development, to succeed Andy.
“Andy’s impact on our organization—and affordable housing in general—has been tremendous. He’s worked tirelessly not just to create outstanding affordable housing, but also to promote public policies which benefit everyone,” Nancy said. “He is leaving a remarkable record of achievement.”
Nancy joined Housing Vermont in 1999 and became Vice President of Development the following year. Since that time, Housing Vermont has created more than 1,000 affordable apartments throughout the state.
A graduate of the University of Vermont, Nancy lives with her husband, Donal Dugan, and two children in Burlington.
